Ween was born in Puntarenas, Costa Rica, and spent her formative years there until the age of 9 ½. She embarked on a life-changing journey when she immigrated to the United States alongside her older brother and mother, following her stepfather's petition. Settling in Fairbanks, Alaska, Ween found herself in a low-minority community, where she became acutely aware of the challenges immigrant families face, igniting her passion for immigration law.

At a tender age, Ween recognized her calling to become an immigration attorney, driven by her firsthand experiences and witnessing the complexities of immigration law. Her commitment to aiding those navigating the intricate landscape of immigration law stems from her own journey and the determination instilled in her.
